National HIV Testing Week 2025

  • Participation: BHA Liverpool increased testing opportunities and contributed to the ‘I TEST’ campaign.
  • Campaign: Promoted regular testing, particularly among minoritised ethnic backgrounds.
  • Importance: Testing is crucial for ending new HIV transmissions by 2030.

HIV Testing Services

  • Locations: Bookable appointments at Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre.
  • Services: HIV tests, full-screen STI tests, sexual health guidance and support.

International Women’s Day 2025

  • Date: Saturday, 8th March.
  • Focus: Women’s sexual health as part of female empowerment.
  • Services: Testing, support, resources, expert referrals.

Gilead Project

  • Funding: Conducted a community research study throughout 2024.
  • Findings: Gaps in knowledge, low uptake of services, influenced by socioeconomic disadvantages, stigma, language barriers.
  • Recommendations: Improve HIV education, information, and service accessibility within ethnic communities.

Full-Screen STI Tests

  • New Offering: Test for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and Syphilis.
  • Procedure: Samples collected by clinician or self-collected, sent to lab for testing.

Women’s Rights Campaign

  • Focus: Women’s sexual health and human rights.
  • Social Media Campaign: Posts on aspects of female sexual health and related human rights.

  • Community International Women’s Day Event: Friday, 25th April, hosted by Savera UK.
  • Women’s Sexual + Wellbeing Event: Wednesday, 23rd April, hosted by Savera UK.

Click + Collect Services

  • HIV Tests: Available for collection from Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre.
  • Condoms: Free packs of 40 condoms + 10 lubes available for collection.
