It’s National HIV Testing Week (1st to 7th of February)!
National HIV Testing Week is a campaign to promote regular testing among the most affected population groups in England. Regular testing helps to reduce the number of people living with undiagnosed HIV and those diagnosed late. This year, the campaign returns with the successful creative ‘Give HIV the finger: a finger-prick test is all it takes’. The campaign will encourage people to test for HIV at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please see our calendar to check our exciting activities during the week!
An informational leaflet created by our sexual health team from the PaSH partnership
which outlines our current guidance on tips for maintaining sexual health wellbeing during COVID-19.
Our new discussion panel show, “Speak Easy”. Speak Easy has been built in partnership with Yvonne Richards; a volunteer at George House Trust. We are encouraging the community to inform these sessions with ideas of subjects and questions for the panel. On Thursday 21st January 2021 at 6pm live on Zoom here.

Join us for a very special online World AIDS Day Vigil as we remember people lost to HIV, show our solidarity with people living with HIV around the world and commit ourselves to challenging HIV stigma and discrimination.
The Vigil will be broadcast at 7pm on Tuesday 1st December.
The Vigil is organised by the Passionate about Sexual Health (PaSH) Partnership, a collaboration between BHA for Equality, George House Trust and LGBT Foundation.
This year, our amazing volunteers won’t be able to talk to people about the importance of #WAD2020 and collect much-needed donations due to Covid-19 restrictions. So, in the meantime, please consider donating by text to support the work of the PaSH partnership if you can.
You can also donate online at: www.ght.org.uk/wad

With the challenges we face and to ensure the safety of our volunteers, we are inviting you to join us to do something a little different…
This year is a year like no other. Instead of taking to the streets of Manchester to distribute red ribbons, we are inviting volunteers old and new to join us on Zoom for an evening of online awareness raising.
This will be a fabulous opportunity to learn more about HIV and contribute to Manchester’s World AIDS Day Vigil.
We look forward to seeing you on the 24th of November at 18:00.
