Sahara
Sahara is a unique and dedicated resource focused on the health and well being of refugees and asylum seeker communities living in north Manchester. The project aims to inform, support and develop links between refugees and asylum seeking communities and mental health related services.
The service assists in improving signposting, networking and sharing good practice and knowledge among service providers on issues facing these communities.
The project offers the following services:
• Advice on well-being and mental health related services
• Information
• Referrals to specialist services
• Development of appropriate and culturally relevant support services for refugees and asylum seeking communities in North Manchester
The service is free, confidential and is provided in the following languages:
