PaSH (Passionate about Sexual Health) The PaSH Partnership is a collaboration led by BHA for Equality in partnership with George House Trust and the LGBT Foundation. PaSH delivers a comprehensive programme of sexual health services for people across Greater Manchester who are at risk of or diagnosed with HIV.
BHA is a leading health and social care charity that works to challenge health inequalities and support individuals, families & communities to improve their health & well-being. We offer a range of unique services delivered at local, regional and national level in the areas of health promotion, community health education and engaging and involving communities in health and social care decision making.
The post holder will develop and deliver the Greater Manchester Sexual Health Improvement Programme (PaSH) for African and other most at-risk communities. They will develop and deliver community engagement initiatives and sexual health promotion interventions including outreach, 1:1 and group interventions, HIV Testing, to improve the health and well-being of individuals, populations and communities and reduce the number of new infections of HIV/STI’s and late diagnosis.
The post holder will recruit, train, support and supervise volunteers to support the BHA PaSH programme, deliver sexual health promotion interventions with individuals, community groups, religious and community leaders, other health providers/services and the business sectors across Greater Manchester and point of care HIV testing.
The post holder will have a wide understanding of African culture and of perceptions amongst African communities in England relating to HIV.
