Salary: SCP 12-17 £21,589-£23,836 per annum pro rata
Hours: 28 hours per week fixed-term until June 2021 (Tuesday- Friday) including occasional evening and weekend work (for which time off in lieu will be given), as required.

PaSH (Passionate about Sexual Health) The PaSH Partnership is a collaboration led by BHA for Equality in partnership with George House Trust and the LGBT Foundation. PaSH delivers a comprehensive programme of sexual health services for people across Greater Manchester who are at risk of or diagnosed with HIV.
The Community Engagement and Development Worker role will hold responsibility for establishing, developing and delivering targeted community engagement initiatives and health promotion interventions locally as part of a team. This role will be based within BHA’s PaSH HIV Prevention Team for African communities in Greater Manchester.
The successful applicant will work alongside communities, individuals, statutory and non-statutory organisations, community groups, religious leaders and the business sectors to promote sexual health and access to services which are appropriate to the needs of the community. The role will involve dissemination of key sexual health promotion and HIV prevention messages, including those addressing stigma and barriers to services, delivered through community-based outreach, one-to-one and group-based interventions (including HIV/STI testing services) to prevent ill health and improve the health and well-being of individuals, populations and communities.
The post holder will have a wide understanding of African culture and of perceptions amongst African communities in England relating to HIV.
